Memorial Day Activities at Shorty Pants!

Did you know??

Memorial Day was originally known as "Decoration Day," because it was a day to visit and leave flowers on the graves of fallen soldiers who had fought in the Civil War. The name was changed to Memorial Day in the 1880s when it was expanded to remember all U.S. Military men and women.

New York was the first northern state to celebrate Memorial Day, and Mississippi was the first southern state.

Technically, flags should only be held at half-mast until noon on Memorial Day, and then they should be raised to the top of the staff.

Memorial Day Weekend is almost here! Most Americans celebrate this long weekend as the official start to summer, but it's important to remember the roots of this big holiday.

AQUAPALOOZA!!

Mark your calendars now for Saturday, July 19th! We will be joining our sister restaurant Dog Days Bar and Grill to celebrate this five-star event from 12:00pm-5:00pm.

Aquapalooza draws people from all over the state. The live music always contributes to the day's atmosphere, and this year shouldn't be any different! Dog Days has an awesome lineup scheduled, featuring all your favorite music from the 80s!

• Hells Bells, America's #1 AC/DC Tribute Band
• Hells Bells has been touring 42 states and multiple countries for the last 15 years. Complete with authentic costuming, this high-energy band will deliver all the adrenaline of an actual AC/DC concert.
