Last week our blog featured the many reasons you should Enjoy Labor Day Weekend at the Lake of the Ozarks With Us at Shorty Pants Lounge & Marina. Today, we'll give you another quick recap about the upcoming holiday weekend plus tell you about more fun to be had with your favorite waterfront bar & restaurant at the Lake of the Ozarks this fall. We've got a lot more of this awesome 2019 season left to share with you!  

Labor Day Weekend 2019
Labor Day weekend gives you the chance to take a short break after getting back to work and school following summer vacation. Spending it at the Lake of the Ozarks is the best way to truly feel like that summer isn't entirely over and heading to Shorty Pants Lounge & Marina is a great place to start.

For the holiday, you can expect the best Cajun food at the Lake of the Ozarks, as always. One bite and you'll think you're in New Orleans! We'll also have all of those delicious hand-mixed cocktails you've been sipping lakeside over the summer. When you're ready to hop on the boat and get some "lake time" in, the best gas dock at the Lake of the Ozarks is at the end of our dock with everything you'll need for a full day out on the water. 

Last, but certainly not least, our stage is home to incredible live music on Friday and Saturday night to keep your evening here enjoyable, even after you're done with dinner! This Labor Day Weekend music begins at 7:00 pm and includes performances by:

More Fun This Fall

Like we said, Labor Day Weekend isn't the end. Instead, it's the beginning of a string of some of the best annual events at the Lake of the Ozarks coming up in September and October. We expect to keep seeing you here for as long as the weather allows us to stay open this season. Here are a couple of the ways that Shorty Pants Lounge & Marina is keeping things interesting.

Lake of the Ozarks Bikefest

September 11-15, 2019, the 13th Annual Lake of the Ozarks Bikefest will sweep across the lake area. We're thrilled to be one of the passport stops again this year, so make sure you ride by and get your book stamped by us. In addition to the passport run, there will be live music, awesome giveaways, and even the chance to win a brand new Harley-Davidson motorcycle! 

As a matter of fact, you can head on over to LakeBikefest.com right now and sign up to win a 2-night Lake of the Ozarks Bikefest Package valued at over $600. Among other awesome prizes, this includes a $50 gift certificate to use at Shorty Pants!

Bogeys & Beer Golf Tournament

On October 10, 2019, you can join us for the 20th Annual Bogeys & Beer Golf Tournament. The day includes box lunches from Mexicali Blues, dinner & awards at our sister restaurant, Dog Days Bar & Grill, lots of silent auction items, and tons of fun at every hole! Keep an eye out for signup information coming soon. All tournament proceeds benefit wonderful local organizations: the Lamb House, Kid's Harbor, the Kiwanis Club, and the CADV. 

Fall Harbor Hop

The always exciting 34th Annual Fall Harbor Hop at the lake on October 12, 2019, is right after our golf tournament. Hop in the boat and get ready to travel all over the lake area picking up cards for your poker hand. Get a good one and win some incredible prizes, but most importantly, you get a great day out on the water with a fun stop at our Lake of the Ozarks waterfront bar & restaurant. 

Stay With Us!

If you live here, it's no trouble to get to the exciting events listed above, but if you're coming from out-of-town, where in the world can you stay? Well, in the best vacation rental houses at the Lake of the Ozarks, of course. We happen to have 2 of them right next door to Shorty Pants Lounge & Marina!

These vacation rental houses both have spectacular lake views, great patios to entertain on, gas grills on the decks, washers and dryers, lots of sleeping room, spacious living rooms, full kitchens, and all the comforts of home! The Glass House offers 1,500 square feet of living space and can easily house up to 8 guests. The Red House boasts 3,400 square feet of living space and can sleep up to 16. 

Call up a few friends and share the house for a week of lake living! We've got dates open this fall, but we expect them to fill up quickly, so don't wait too long to book one.

Shorty Pants Lounge, Lake of the Ozarks Authentic Cajun Restaurant,  is ready to have a good time on the 4th of July!!!  Come out and celebrate your Independence with the crew at Shorty Pants!!

The Tiki Bar will be open and our staff will be waiting to serve up your favorite beverage as you slip away into the extended weekend!!  Shorty Pants Lounge features legendary cocktails, muddled Mojitos and Cajun Bloody Mary’s.

For those of you dining, we offer indoor seating or our huge waterfront deck to enjoy live music and a great atmosphere. Our restaurant is “Smoke-Free” inside and we offer a full menu of items to please everyone, including the kiddos!!

Celebrate the 4th of July Cajun Style!!

Come celebrate the 4th of July with the Lake of the Ozarks' Favorite Cajun Restaurant, Shorty Pants Lounge!!

Creole cuisine may seem far from your typical July 4th cookout, but if you are looking for some explosive flavors, Shorty Pants will serve up some great food for your family and friends.  Shorty Pants menu is straight out of  New Orleans and features rubs and spices direct from Louisiana.   Here is a sampling of our Cajun Menu and some of the entree's you can choose from.


Ahi Tuna Salad - 8 oz. Sashimi Grade tuna filet sesame seed encrusted and cooked to your liking.  Served over a spring mix, feta chees, cherry tomatoes and served with house remoulade dressing.



Blackened Creole Chicken - Blackened Chicken with sauteeed peppers and onions topped with shredded Pepper Jack cheese served on a toasted kaiser bun.

Sweet Bourbon Carrots - Sliced carrots sauteed with brown sugar, honey, pecans and smooth Kentucky Bourbon.



Shrimp & Grits - Large shrimp sauteed with andouille sausage, onions and mushrooms, served over our homemade cheddar cheese and jalapeno grits.



Filet Oscar - certified Angus Tenderloin topped with lump crab meat, asparagus and our famous seafood creme sauce.

Cajun Twiced Baked Potato - A huge potato boat filled with minced jalapenos, green peppers, onion and andouille sausage, topped with cheddar and broiled to perfection!

Crab Cake Pasta - Two delicious handmade shrimp and lump blue crab cakes are placed on a bed of angel hair pasta with delicious seafood cream sauce.




Shorty Pants will also have two Great LIVE Bands to celebrate July 4th weekend!!!
