A vacation at the Lake of the Ozarks should be on your list of things to do this year. If you don't already have a home in the area, one of the first things you should take care of is finding a place to stay. Our waterfront vacation rental houses at the Lake of the Ozarks are perfect for groups both large and small and best of all, they are located right next door to Shorty Pants Lounge & Marina! 

There are tons of fun things going on around the lake area year-round and especially in the summertime. Making reservations early gives you a much better chance at snagging the most popular dates. The Glass House
Both of our lakefront vacation houses are located in Osage Beach off Hwy. KK on the 21-mile marker. The Glass House contains 1,500 square feet of living space with 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, and the ability to sleep up to 8 comfortably. 

You'll find all the comforts of home, including a washer and dryer, full kitchen, and a gas grill on the 44-foot deck. A courtesy dock is available upon request for your boating needs and we have partnered with BomBay Boat Rentals to bring you the option to rent a watercraft during your stay. Shorty Pants Marina, just down the dock, offers a full-service gas dock and a convenience store.

The Red House

Next door, the Red House also contains all the comforts of home needed to enjoy a relaxing stay plus the same, gorgeous lake views as the Glass House. This property is larger at 3,400 square feet of living space and has two 44-foot decks. There are 5 bedrooms, 4.5 bathrooms, and this house can accommodate up to 16 guests. There is also an apartment-like space detached from the house that we call the "Love Shack."

It's Time to Plan a Fall Vacation at the Lake of the Ozarks

The lake area is a very popular vacation spot all summer long, but the fun doesn't stop around here after Labor Day. On the contrary, there are all kinds of great activities and events to enjoy around the lake throughout the year. Shorty Pants Lounge & Marina has a list of some popular fall events for you up first today followed by a look at the best waterfront vacation houses at the Lake of the Ozarks after that. The perfect place for you to stay while you're in town! 

Fall Events at Lake of the Ozarks

If you think the lake area is breathtaking in the summer, wait until you get a gander at the gorgeous fall foliage everywhere that you go each autumn! A relaxing fall vacation at the Lake of the Ozarks is already a wonderful reason to visit. These annual events and festivals just give you even more incentive to plan that trip. Lake of the Ozarks WingFest
Sept. 25
Local restaurants from across the lake area compete to find out who has the best wings in town. Your ticket gets you all the wings you can eat (while they last) plus a beverage and musical entertainment. All of the proceeds benefit local charities and you get a belly full of the most amazing wings you've ever tasted. We're extremely partial to the Wobbly Wings from our sister restaurant, Wobbly Boots Roadhouse, but the other booths will be worth tasting too.  

Fall Big Bass Bash
Oct. 5 & 6
This annual fishing tournament is for amateurs only and there is over $250,000 up for grabs in prizes! Be sure to stock up on everything you'll need for a day out on the lake at Shorty Pants Marina before heading out to win the big money. 

20th Annual Bogeys & Beer Golf Tournament 
Oct. 10
We are proud every year to be a part of this annual golf tournament where all of the proceeds benefit many local organizations. It consists of a shotgun start, cash prizes and 18-hole proxies, silent & live auctions, and both lunch and an awards dinner provided. Oh, and of course, beer! (Among other tasty refreshing adult beverages!)  

34th Annual Fall Harbor Hop
Oct. 12
Shorty Pants Lounge & Marina will once again be one of the many lakeside stops for this popular poker run on the water. (Which makes it extremely convenient to stay here in one of our rental houses!) That day we'll have the incredible Steven Moore onstage to keep you entertained. A $20 donation allows you to collect 7 cards from any of the waterfront stops on the list and prizes are given out when it's over.

The Best Gas Dock & Marina
If you're heading to the lake area this holiday weekend, there's a very good chance that boating is a big part of your plans. The very best way to begin your outing on the water is to make a pit stop at the best gas dock & marina at the Lake of the Ozarks - Shorty Pants Marina! 

You'll find us on the 21 MM in Salt Hollow Cove, just a short walk down the dock from Shorty Pants Lounge. We offer 87 Octane, 83 Octane, and Diesel fuel for your watercraft. 

The fully-stocked C-store also has many of the other items you may need to take care of your boat or jet ski like oil, fuel stabilizer, and more. While you're there, pick up a few things to take care of your crew too. 

In addition to housing the cleanest restrooms on the water, you'll find soft drinks, beer, liquor, ice, snacks, t-shirts, hats, sunglasses, personal care products, watersport flags, batteries, and so much more. Say hello to Oscar, our famous dock dog, while you're there and pick up free popsicles for the kiddos, free coffee for the adults, and free dog treats for your 4-legged passengers.

Bring Dad to Shorty Pants This Father's Day Weekend

Father's Day falls on Sunday, June 16, 2019. How are you surprising Dad this year? (And if you're the dad reading this, how do you want to be surprised?) We've got the answer to both of those questions - with a trip to Shorty Pants Lounge & Marina!  

Our Lake of the Ozarks waterfront restaurant, bar, & marina is full of things that fathers love plus those same things can be enjoyed by the entire family. If you've been here then you already know this, but if you haven't, take a look at some of the awesomeness you can expect when you head on over to Shorty Pants Lounge & Marina in Osage Beach. 

For Dads With Younger Kids
If you're a part of a family that has younger children celebrating Dad this weekend, we've got food that even the finickiest of eaters will enjoy. This is great news for both Dad and Mom because that means the kids will be happy and satisfied while the adults get to enjoy the best Cajun food at the Lake of the Ozarks. 

Here's a peek at our menu for the youngest diners. These meals are served with a kid-sized drink and one side dish.  

Chicken Tenders

These fresh chicken tenders are hand-breaded and fried to a golden brown. 

Shorty Mini Corn Dogs

Just like it sounds, a plate of corn dogs, mini-sized.

Grilled Cheese

We take both white and yellow cheese and melt them together on white bread. Warm, cheesy, and delicious.

Shorty Burger

Like Dad's burger, but a bit smaller. This quarter-pound burger can be ordered with cheese or without. 

For Dads With Older Kids

Once your child graduates from our kids' menu, they love the authentic Cajun creations from the regular menu every bit as much as Dad & Mom do. The mouthwatering rubs and spices we use are authentic and come to us directly from Louisiana. From Crab Cake Pasta to Jambalaya, Crawfish-N-Shrimp Etouffee, and our fantastic Po Boys, there are tons of delicious choices.

Of course, Cajun isn't the only "flavor" we have to offer. The extensive menu also has quite a few non-Creole dishes that are every bit as amazing. Once the "little ones" aren't so little anymore they can belly up to the bar with you and enjoy a refreshing lakeside cocktail. We've got the tastiest drinks in town including Cajun Bloody Marys, freshly muddled Mojitos, all of your favorite frozen drinks, and a long list of Hurricanes. You'll also find a fantastic selection of ice-cold beers and a very impressive wine list.    

For the Entire Family

So far we've only talked about the food and drinks (which alone is an excellent reason to bring the family to Shorty Pants Lounge anytime!) You'll also experience a gorgeous view of the Lake of the Ozarks when you dine outside on our lakeside deck. If you prefer to eat inside out of the heat, our non-smoking dining area has plenty of room for groups of all sizes. 

Just a very short walk down the dock you'll find the best gas dock and marina at the Lake of the Ozarks. Shorty Pants Marina is the perfect place to fill up on gas and other boating essentials if you're spending the day on the water. Even if you arrived by land, the C-store has all kinds of great Shorty Pants gear to check out and Oscar, our dock dog, is usually there ready to greet you with a friendly hello. 

If you decide to extend the Father's Day celebration out all weekend long, you can also join us for the best live music at the Lake of the Ozarks. First up on Friday, June 14, the talented Travis Marvin hits the Shorty Pants stage and then on Saturday, June 15 we've got the incredible Art Bentley. Music on the weekends begins at 7:00 pm.

Amazing Live Music This June at the Lake of the Ozarks

Memorial Day has come and gone. (It turned out to be a pretty awesome holiday weekend too!) The fun doesn't stop there though. We've got a season full of excitement waiting for you at Shorty Pants Lounge & Marina, beginning with the best live music at the Lake of the Ozarks.

The fantastic music mentioned above at our lakeside restaurant and bar at the Lake of the Ozarks is plenty to get you through the month of June. In July, we'll have even more talented entertainers coming your way, but that's not all...

On Tuesday, July 9, 2019, be sure to join us for our Annual Crawfish Boil Anniversary Party! If you've been before, you already know it's a deliciously exciting evening that should not be missed. For the rest of you, here's an idea about what you can expect on this memorable evening. 

For one-night-only, you can enjoy an amazing dinner of crawfish, crab legs, Andouille sausage, potatoes, and corn. Mmmmm boy! There will be some great drinks specials on hand for you too, plus we'll have the incredible Travis Marvin on stage to keep your toes tapping all night long. Keep an eye out for more details as this event gets closer, but mark your calendars now!

In the meantime, you can join us 7 days a week beginning at 11:00 am for the best Cajun food at the Lake of the Ozarks. We use rubs and spices direct from Louisiana in our cooking, and you can both see and taste the influence of their Creole cuisine in our delicious dishes. Our World Famous Crab Cakes are an extremely popular menu item, as well as our Gumbo, Crawfish-N-Shrimp Etouffee, Jambalaya, and so much more.
