The Tournament Details

This awesome annual charity golf tournament is not only a perfect excuse to get outside and have some fun in the middle of the week, but it also raises money for some incredible local organizations. These include Lamb House, Kid's Harbor, the CADV, and the Dan Hagedorn Memorial Scholarship.

Check-in starts at the Oaks at 10:00 am with a shotgun start beginning at 11:00 am. Tons of prizes are up for grabs, there will be all kinds of tasty adult beverages to enjoy, and a delicious box lunch is being provided by our friends at Redhead Lakeside Grill. 

Once the final hole is complete, we'll all head over to our sister restaurant, Dog Days Bar & Grill, for an event dinner. There you will also have a chance to bid on some spectacular silent auction and live auction items.

It's almost time for the lake area's most exciting day out on the golf course - the 20th Annual Bogeys & Beer Benefit Golf Tournament! On Thursday, October 10, 2019, join Shorty Pants Lounge & Marina for a day of golfing, drinking, prizes, dining, and raising money for some wonderful local organizations. 

The Tournament

Fall Events at Lake of the Ozarks

If you think the lake area is breathtaking in the summer, wait until you get a gander at the gorgeous fall foliage everywhere that you go each autumn! Lake of the Ozarks WingFest
Sept. 25
Local restaurants from across the lake area compete to find out who has the best wings in town. Your ticket gets you all the wings you can eat (while they last) plus a beverage and musical entertainment. All of the proceeds benefit local charities and you get a belly full of the most amazing wings you've ever tasted. We're extremely partial to the Wobbly Wings from our sister restaurant, Wobbly Boots Roadhouse, but the other booths will be worth tasting too.  

Fall Big Bass Bash

This annual fishing tournament is for amateurs only and there is over $250,000 up for grabs in prizes! Be sure to stock up on everything you'll need for a day out on the lake at Shorty Pants Marina before heading out to win the big money.

We are proud every year to be a part of this annual golf tournament where all of the proceeds benefit many local organizations. It consists of a shotgun start, cash prizes and 18-hole proxies, silent & live auctions, and both lunch and an awards dinner provided. Oh, and of course, beer! (Among other tasty refreshing adult beverages!)  

34th Annual Fall Harbor Hop
Oct. 12
Shorty Pants Lounge & Marina will once again be one of the many lakeside stops for this popular poker run on the water. (Which makes it extremely convenient to stay here in one of our rental houses!) That day we'll have the incredible Steven Moore onstage to keep you entertained. A $20 donation allows you to collect 7 cards from any of the waterfront stops on the list and prizes are given out when it's over.

Both houses have an amazing lake view with large decks to sit on and admire it from. They contain all the comforts of home you'll need during your stay and are only a short walk away from Shorty Pants Lounge & Marina. 

The weather around here is too good to miss in the fall, plus many of the seasonal spots are still open for business and the lake is a lot quieter but every bit as inviting. After the events listed above, it will be time to come back and get in some fantastic holiday shopping as well.

Fall Harbor Hop is Saturday, October 14! Who's Joining Us?

Autumn isn't too late to get out on that gorgeous lake! (Especially with the incredible weather we've mostly been blessed with this season.) It's time to get on the water and join us for one of the best annual events at the Lake of the Ozarks - The 32nd Annual Fall Harbor Hop on Saturday, October 14. What a great excuse to get out and enjoy this awesome scenic area that Shorty Pants Lounge & Marina are lucky enough to be located in. Here's some info so you can join us for all the excitement. 

Harbor Hop at Shorty Pants
You can swing by the best waterfront bar & restaurant at the Lake of the Ozarks from 11 am - 7 pm to pick up a card for your poker hand, and hopefully you'll stick around with us after the hop is over too. If it's a chilly evening, we've got that cozy outdoor fireplace to gather around, plus the roomy indoor dining area and bar. If you happen to stop by between 3-7 pm, you can even enjoy the talented Steven Moore on stage.   

Don't forget that you can also get everything you need in our cove for a day full of boating at the best marina at the Lake of the Ozarks - Shorty Pants Marina! You can gas up your boat plus grab a few essentials for the crowd on board while you're at it; ice, drinks, snacks, sunglasses, cigarettes, koozies, sweet Shorty Pants gear, and lots more!    

How To Play
Participating in the Fall Harbor Hop is easy. Get started at any of the over 40 waterfront bars & restaurants listed below (subject to change, so check the Harbor Hop website prior to the event.) For an optional $20 donation at your first stop, you can get registered and accept the 1st of 7 cards for your poker hand. You're welcome to enter more than once. 

After that, simply "hop" to 6 more participating stops, picking up an additional card at each one. Once you draw that final card, you'll turn in your hand, unless you choose to draw a bonus 8th card for an additional $5 to improve your odds. The entry fees for the hop are what determine the amount of prizes available. As long as you turn in your hand before 7 pm on October 14, your share of the winnings could be:

1st Place: 10%
2nd Place: 9%
3rd Place: 8%
4th Place: 7%
5th-10th Places: 5% each
4 Worst Hands: 4% each
Random Drawing for 10 Hands: 2% each

The Bonus: Section winners will be recognized from players that draw all 7 of their cards within a single section of checkpoints.

Our Vacation Rental Houses Get You Close To Lots Of Lake Area Fall Fun!

There are still tons of fun things going on in the lake area after Labor Day, and you can be close to all of them when you stay in the best vacation rentals at the Lake of the Ozarks. The scenery surrounding the lake is absolutely breathtaking in the fall, and the awesome events happening will make you want to be here. Shorty Pants Lounge and Marina, as well as many other waterfront attractions, are still open this time of year, and everything seems to be a little less crowded than mid-summer. Visiting the area during the following annual events just adds to the fun.

A day filled with exciting acts both on the ground and in the air. At one point, hundreds of ping pong balls will be released from an airplane and children are invited to race onto the field and grab them for prizes! An entertaining day for the whole family. A rain date is set for Sept. 24.  

Fall Big Bass Bash - Oct. 7-8

An annual fishing tournament for amateur anglers with huge prize money up for grabs - over $220,000! It's a great chance to pick up some awesome prize money for enjoying a relaxing lake activity. You can stock up on your daily boating necessities at Shorty Pants Marina each day before you head out to compete.

Pumpkins, hay bales, and apple cider... oh my! There are some great pumpkin patches to visit while you're in the lake area, as well as many incredible fall festivals that are well worth checking out. 

Pumkin Chunkin' Palooza - Sept. 30
Ozarks Amphitheater
A family friendly Fall festival event from 10 am - 6 pm to celebrate the season. Admission fees will be charged, with proceeds benefiting lake area organizations. The main attraction is the giant trebuchet that will launch pumpkins high into the air. There will also be face painting, a petting zoo, pony rides, bounce houses, a corn crib pit, on-site pumpkin decorating, and more. Live music will be performed by the I-Berrys and the Norman Jackson Band. 

Thunder Mountain Fall Festival - Daily in October
Bridal Cave & Thunder Mountain Park, Camdenton
This already beautiful scenic attraction will be all dressed up for fall every day in October. In addition to the nature trails and cave tour, this month they have added: Face Painting, Duck Races, Jumbo Tic-Tac-Toe, Corn Crib, Hay Bale Maze, Hay Bale Mountain, Fire Pits, and hundreds of pumpkins and fall decorations. On the weekends there will also be live entertainment and demonstrations like sarsaparilla making and pumpkin painting.

The Cave Pumpkin Patch

You'll also be able to purchase a pumpkin to take home, and even paint it while you're there if you like.

Open Saturdays and Sundays in October from 10 am - 5 pm, the MECCA Family Farm has a Corn Crib, a 150-ft Big Slide, Face Painting, Petting Zoo, Hay Rides, a 3-Acres Maize Walk, and lots of gorgeous scenic photo opportunities. You get access to all of that for the $5 admission price. You will also be able to pick and purchase your own pumpkin from the patch, and there are favorite fall flavors to buy like caramel apples, kettle corn, and more.

They're each just a short walk from both the restaurant and marina, have an amazing lake view, and offer all the comforts of home for groups both large and small. There will still be many lovely days and nights to sit out on the porches, and when the seasonal chill gets to be a little too much, you can still enjoy the awesome view from indoors! The Glass House offers 1500 square feet of living space and can easily house up to 8 guests, the Red House boasts 3,400 square feet of living space and can sleep up to 16.
