Just about everyone already knows that Shorty Pants Lounge & Marina serves amazing food and drinks and hosts the best gas dock & marina in the lake area. Some of you may not be aware that we also offer two of the best vacation house rentals at the Lake of the Ozarks.

The Glass House Reviews
Both of our lakefront vacation houses are located in Osage Beach off Hwy. KK on the 21-mile marker. The Glass House contains 1,500 square feet of living space with 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, and the ability to sleep up to 8 comfortably.

You'll find all the comforts of home, including a washer and dryer, full kitchen, and a gas grill on the 44-foot deck. A courtesy dock is available upon request for your boating needs and we have partnered with BomBay Boat Rentals to bring you the option to rent a watercraft during your stay.

The Red House Reviews  

Next door, the Red House also contains all the comforts of home needed to enjoy a relaxing stay plus the same, gorgeous lake views as the Glass House. This property is larger at 3,400 square feet of living space and has two 44-foot decks. There are 5 bedrooms, 4.5 bathrooms, and this house can accommodate up to 16 guests. There is also an apartment-like space detached from the house that we call the "Love Shack." 

"We had a group of 5 couples stay at this property for 3 nights. Ashley was super to work with and the location was perfect. We brought our boat and the boat slip was covered and easily accessible. We would definitely stay at this house again."

Stay With Us When You Visit The Lake In Our Incredible Rental Houses

Since our two rental houses are located right next door to the restaurant and marina, everything is located conveniently within walking distance of each other.

Both of our Lake of the Ozarks vacation rental houses include all the comforts of home, including a beautifully appointed kitchen, a washer and dryer, and all the necessary appliances needed for everyday living. Gorgeous decks for entertaining and enjoying that fantastic lake view are also present. The houses are centrally located so that all of the best spots in the lake area are only a short car trip or boat ride away. 

Why spend your nights cramped up in a small hotel room when you can stay in one of our comfortable and spacious rental houses? You can spread out and enjoy all of that extra space yourself, or there is plenty of room to bring a few friends or family members with you. The Glass House

This vacation rental features 1,500 square feet of living space, lakefront access, and breathtaking panoramic lake views. It sleeps up to 8 guests comfortably with 2 queen size beds, 1 full bed, and a sleeper sofa in the living room. There are 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, a full kitchen, and a 44-foot deck. 

"The house is adorable and very clean. Just steps from Shorty Pants restaurant which made dinner easy. They also have a marina which made forgetting a toothbrush an easy fix. Ashley was great to communicate with and left her cell number on the chalkboard inside in case we needed anything. Myself and 7 other girls had a great experience!"

You can check availability for the rental houses by following their links from the Shorty Pants Lounge & Marina website. As of right now, the Glass House is available July 14-20, which also happens to be AquaPalooza 2017 at Dog Days Bar & Grill! It's the single largest 1-day boating event at the Lake of the Ozarks. You'd better hurry if you want to book it, because it may not be available for long. It is also available for booking a few weekdays in July, and anytime in August after the 6th.  

The Red House

This house offers more space at 3,400 square feet. It has 4 bedrooms, 3.5 bathrooms, lakefront access, a full kitchen, 2 incredible decks, and the same breathtaking panoramic lake view. 

The Red House has been extremely popular with big groups visiting the lake area. All of the weekends for July and August are already booked, but we do have some weekdays available. September, after Labor Day, is wide open, and that's a perfect time to enjoy the Lake of the Ozarks. The weather is still great, the seasonal attractions are still open, and the crowds are a bit smaller.

"I cannot say enough wonderful things about this rental. We had a group of 8 and would have had space for several more. I was able to reach out to Ashley regarding a mishap with the coffee maker and received a response in minutes. She was so helpful and did everything in her power to make sure our trip was perfect. The house itself is AMAZING! 2 full floors of living space, decorated perfectly and the screened in/covered patio was a life saver on the days that it rained but we still wanted to be outside.

The location of the house is so convenient, being located next door to Shorty Pants Bar and Marina. Our group wanted to explore the local wineries and we were centrally located between them all also, with the furthest one being only about 25 minutes away.

It's Mardi Gras Pub Crawl Time - Where Are You Staying?

The Lake of the Ozarks Mardi Gras Pub Crawl is only a few weeks away. While it's a little too early in the year for your favorite waterfront restaurant at the Lake of the Ozarks to be able to participate, our sister restaurant, Wobbly Boots Roadhouse, is the best stop on the pub crawl route! If you're traveling from out of town, you'll need a spacious, comfortable place to stay, and that's where Shorty Pants Lounge & Marina can help you out!

An Evening of Fun & A Sober Ride
Every year the Mardi Gras Pub Crawl at the Lake of the Ozarks gets bigger and better. This year, a $10 wristband gives every party-goer entry into the 17+ participating venues, live entertainment at each one, and bus transportation along the entire route all night long!   

There will be 32 buses running this year, beginning at 4:00 pm, and not stopping until an hour after the bars close to make sure everyone gets back to where they're going safely. You can even find a list of hotels along the pub crawl route that all of the buses will pick up and drop off at. As for the participating bars and restaurants, most of the buses will be stopping at every one, but there will also be a few express buses running in case you want to get back to the other side a little more quickly. 

Pick Up Your Wristbands
One $10 wristband gets you into every venue, so you don't have to bother paying a cover charge at each one. They will be available for purchase the week before the Pub Crawl, as well as the night of the event, from every participating place. You can also buy them at some of the hotel sponsors and Sunshine & Daydreams on the Bagnell Dam Strip.

Party at the Boot
Like we mentioned earlier, the best stop on the Pub Crawl is at Wobbly Boots Roadhouse. They're starting the party early with the Barefoot Entertainer himself, Dale Blue! He'll be on stage from 4-8 pm, followed by the always entertaining Vinyl Richie from 8 pm-close. Just in case you don't want to wait for a table to eat, they'll even have a food tent set up outside so you can grab a delicious bite before jumping back on the bus.

A party this big (the world's largest pub crawl!) deserves a full weekend to celebrate. Fall Family Fun at the Lake of the Ozarks

Our Lake of the Ozarks Cajun restaurant is located in the middle of one of the most magnificently scenic areas in mid-Missouri. No matter what season you visit, the natural beauty is absolutely stunning. Fall is no exception, and Shorty Pants Lounge & Marina knows about a few fun things for you and the family to do while you are here. If you stay in one of our Lake of the Ozarks vacation rental houses, you'll have plenty of time to enjoy a lot of these.  

Pumpkin Patches
There are a couple of pumpkin patches in the lake area that offer lots of fun for people of all ages. You can get much more then just pumpkins at these attractions.  

• Cave Pumpkin Patch
• New to the area, this farm is located at 123 Swinging Bridges Road in Brumley, MO. It costs $6 for a day full of excitement. Activities include: a corn crib, mini golf, a duck race, a water balloon sling shot, pumpkin painting, a barrel train, hay ride, and so much more, including entrance to the cave. Concessions are available, and there are plenty of great photo opportunities. It is open on Saturdays & Sundays in October from 10 am - 5 pm. 
• MECCA Family Farm
• Located at 425 Delmar in Roach, MO, this farm is open Saturdays & Sundays throughout October from 10 am - 5 pm, and it's filled with fun things to do. The $5 admission fee gives you access to a big slide, the petting zoo, hay rides, a maize walk, the corn crib, and face painting, to name just some of the fun awaiting you. They also have a corn cannon that you can fire for a small additional charge, and a concession stand full of seasonal treats.    

Scenic Parks
If you like to hike and enjoy being out in the crisp fall air, then a trip to one of the many scenic parks at the Lake of the Ozarks may be a great day for you. Here are a couple that are nearby, and both are accessible by land and by water.

• Ha Ha Tonka
• There are tons of trails to explore in this gorgeous state park, plus the ruins of a historic stone mansion, a natural bridge, and the Ha Ha Tonka Spring. Make sure that you bring your camera, because this amazing area is something that you will want to document and share with everyone you know.    
• Bridal Cave
• One of the most scenic cave tours in America is located near Shorty Pants Lounge. Bridal Cave is open year-round, and during the tour you will learn all kinds of interesting geological facts, plus hear fantastic tales from the cave's past. The cave is in Thunder Mountain Park, which has many trails to explore and a fire tower that you can climb. You will also find lots of unique rocks from around the world in their gift shop, and you can even pan for treasures in their sluice. 

Halloween Fun
The lake offers quite a few Halloween activities for families. Some may be a bit scary, others are more tame, but they promise fun. You can find contact information for all of these events, plus more, at www.Funlake.com. 

• The Haunted Holler - Friday-Sunday until October 31
• A quarter-mile haunted trail in the woods 1-mile behind Hy-Vee in Osage Beach. Admission is $10, and it is recommended for ages 6 and up. Kids under 12 must be accompanied by an adult. 
• OCTOBER 22:
• Lake Regional Cares For Kids Festival
• From 10 am - 1 pm in Lot B of Lake Regional Hospital, lots of fun is planned for the whole family. Free hot dogs will be served from 11 am - 1 pm, and there will be emergency vehicle tours, car seat safety checks, face & pumpkin painting, games, crafts, a costume contest, and more. The first 200 kids to arrive will be given a free Lake Regional Cares for Kids t-shirt. 
• Halloween Bash Trick-or-Treat on the Strip
• The historic Bagnell Dam Strip will have trick-or-treating at participating local businesses along the strip from 1-4 pm. There will also be costume contests with prize categories for both children and adults. 
• OCTOBER 27: 
• Hy-Vee Hallow Trick-or-Treat Maze
• Hy-Vee's pumpkin patch in their Osage Beach parking lot will be transformed into a trick-or-treating maze from 4-7 pm. Entry is $2 per child, and this money will be donated to the Dream Factory and Wonderland Camp.

There are a few great weekends left this fall for you to visit the lake area, and Shorty Pants has the place for you to stay while you're here. Why rent a room when we've got entire houses available for you to enjoy? There's room for the whole family, or even a big bunch of traveling friends.

Our Lake of the Ozarks vacation rental houses were brand new for us this past summer, and they seem to have been a hit! Shorty Pants Lounge & Marina has two amazing rental houses that are available all year long.

THE RED HOUSE

If you truly want to take your time and experience all that the lake area has to offer, making yourself at home in one of our two rental houses is the way to go. The Red House offers 3,400 square feet of living space and can comfortably sleep up to 13 guests. Both rental homes have lakefront access and panoramic lake views.   

Awesome House
"This house was perfect for our large group, with lots of room to spread out and lots of large tables, inside and out. There are 2 refrigerators and dish washers and plenty of living space. The house is newly remodeled and had everything we needed. The staff at Shorty Pants Marina and at the bar and restaurant were all wonderful and very helpful. The walk from the dock to the house is short, and even better, has a bar in between. Loved this place and we will be back." ~Diane G.

"We rented the house for a bachelor party weekend and this setup was perfect for us! It's a non-traditional bach pad set-up, although I don't see why it couldn't be used for a more family oriented trip - it was very clean and nice. We had 11 people, and could have slept several more comfortably. The house is a stone's throw from Shorty Pants Lounge, which I think is under the same ownership. This restaurant / bar was fun to hang out at and had live music. The owners / management team were responsive and accommodating. The grill's propane tank ran out, and within 20 minutes they had gone out to get and delivered a replacement. The house has a spacious upper deck with good patio furniture, as well as a great lower screened in patio with a long table - both were perfect for hanging out and playing games! Highly recommend this as a great getaway spot!"

The Glass House offers 1,500 sq ft of living space and can easily house up to 8 guests comfortably. The Red House boasts 3,400 sq ft of living space to host even larger groups. Both houses have a gas grill and gorgeous decks overlooking the lake, plus all of the comforts of home, including a washer and dryer.  

Marina

Voted the Best Gas Dock at the Lake of the Ozarks 6 years in a row, our marina and C-store are fully equipped with everything you need for a great day on the water. We offer 35 covered slips for rent, and marina amenities include:

• The cleanest restrooms at the lake

Our gas dock offers 87 Octane, 93 Octane, or Diesel fuel. While you are filling up your watercraft, visit our fully-stocked C-store. There is a picnic table and rocking chairs out front to sit and relax for a spell. Inside, we've got free popsicles for the kids, free treats for the dogs, and free coffee if you need a pick-me-up. You can also pick up ice, beverages, snacks, sunglasses, cigarettes, boating supplies, and some our our awesome Shorty Pants gear.  

Waterfront & Indoor Dining

No matter what the weather, we've got plenty of seating to accommodate everyone. Our most popular seats are outside, overlooking the gorgeous Lake of the Ozarks. Enjoy the spectacular view and watch all of "Lake Life" going on all around. 

If it happens to rain, or the temperatures get a little too hot to bear, we've got lots of seating inside our non-smoking dining room too. Catch some games on our televisions and order up a Cajun Bloody Mary or muddled Mojito from the bar.

Incredible Live Music

Every Tuesday, Friday, and Saturday evening in the summer you can hear some of the most talented musicians in the lake area. Our outdoor stage boasts many local favorites, plus new and exciting up-and-comers. 

Frequent Diner Program

Shorty Pants is a proud member of the Barrett Restaurant Group. Our FREE Frequent Diner Program allows you to earn money toward free food here and at both or our sister restaurants: Dog Days Bar & Grill and Wobbly Boots Roadhouse. These cards never expire, and you are free to use them as you earn them or save them all up for one big outing.
