The totally redesigned and revamped guide is designed to keep you up to date on the Lake's hottest parties, live music, and all other forms of entertainment. With this guide, you'll never again have trouble deciding what to do with your evening!
The Get Down Guide dedicates one or two pages to each individual participating restaurant, highlighting their menu, specials, and entertainment schedule for the 2014 season. This innovative guide also features a comprehensive calendar that puts every restaurant's events in one easy-to-read place.
Shorty Pants Lounge, along with our sister restaurants Wobbly Boots Roadhouse and Dog Days Bar & Grill, is super excited to participate in the 2014 edition of the guide! Memorial Day was originally known as "Decoration Day," because it was a day to visit and leave flowers on the graves of fallen soldiers who had fought in the Civil War. The name was changed to Memorial Day in the 1880s when it was expanded to remember all U.S. Military men and women.
New York was the first northern state to celebrate Memorial Day, and Mississippi was the first southern state.
Technically, flags should only be held at half-mast until noon on Memorial Day, and then they should be raised to the top of the staff.
