Opening Day 2020 for Shorty Pants Lounge & Marina in Osage Beach is set for Friday, March 6! (That's just a couple of weeks away!!!) It's been a while, so today's blog has a reminder for you about everything to look forward to when you finally make it back to the best waterfront bar & restaurant at the Lake of the Ozarks this season.

More than likely you've been craving another taste of the best Cajun food at the Lake of the Ozarks over the past few months. Well, the wait is almost over! Our kitchen will be cooking up all of your favorite Creole cuisine beginning at 11:00 am, 7 days a week, starting March 6, 2020. Get ready for those World Famous Crab Cakes, Crawfish-N-Shrimp Etouffee, Po Boy Sandwiches, Jambalaya, and a whole lot more! 

We've got a taste of New Orleans for you at the bar too! Our Cajun Bloody Mary is an irresistible classic around here and the many varieties of Hurricanes we mix up is a true treat for your taste buds!  

Even More Tasty Treats
Although we're widely known as the best Cajun restaurant at the Lake of the Ozarks, our talented chefs are not limited to just that. The menu features savory steaks, fresh salads, delicious seafood, incredible sandwiches, wraps, and burgers, plus a fantastic kids' menu. 

As for drinks, you'll find all of your favorite frozen cocktails to enjoy while dining lakeside. We also carry a wonderful variety of ice-cold beers and an amazing wine list. No matter what you are thirsty for, our fully-stocked bar can take care of that thirst! 

Incredible Live Music
The outdoor stage at Shorty Pants Lounge hosts the best live music at the Lake of the Ozarks. Discover a wonderful mix of soothing sounds to enjoy during dinner and on into a lovely lake evening along with bands that will have you on the dance floor all night long. The finishing touches are being put onto our 2020 music schedule but once it's complete, you can always find an updated list on our website.  

Full-Service Gas Dock & Marina
Just down the dock from the restaurant, you'll find the best gas dock & marina at the Lake of the Ozarks. In addition to being a great place to fuel your boat, Shorty Pants Marina also contains a fully-stocked convenience store with all the things you might need for a day out on the water. When you're ready for a pit stop during your day of boating, this is also where you'll find the cleanest restrooms on the lake. 

If you're in need of a place to park your boat or personal watercraft while you're in town, we have covered dock slips available from sizes 14x36 up to 20x56. Marina amenities include showers, washer/dryers, free WiFi and electric, free ice, and gated parking.  

Waterfront House Rentals
Located right next door to Shorty Pants Lounge & Marina are two of the best vacation rental houses at the Lake of the Ozarks. (These are both available to rent year-round, even when Shorty Pants Lounge & Marina is closed for the season!) 

The Glass House features 1,500 square feet of living space and can sleep up to 8 guests comfortably. The Red House offers 3,400 square feet to enjoy and can house up to 16 guests. Both rentals have an unbelievable lake view plus all the comforts of home for groups both large and small. They feature gorgeous decks, a full kitchen, BBQ grill, washer/dryer, and spacious rooms for everyone to enjoy.

It's Almost Time to Harbor Hop at the Lake of the Ozarks Again!

It's just about time for the 34th Annual Fall Harbor Hop & Shorty Pants Lounge & Marina is the perfect place to both begin and end your journey! The restaurant will have all of your favorite Cajun food & drinks, a card stop, and live music. The best gas dock at the Lake of the Ozarks will have everything you need for a full day of fun out on the water. Oh, and if you need a place to stay while you're in town, we can take care of that for you too!

Fall Harbor Hop 2019
This year the Fall Harbor Hop will happen on Saturday, October 12. For those of you that are new to the Harbor Hop, participating is easy. Get started at our Lake of the Ozarks waterfront bar & restaurant or any of the over 40 waterfront bars & restaurants on the Harbor Hop stop list (which can be found at www.Funlake.com/HarborHop.) A $20 donation at your first stop gets you card #1, and you are welcome to enter more than once. From there, you will cruise to 6 more participating stops, picking up a new card at each one.

Turn your completed poker hand in at the 7th stop. If you aren't completely satisfied with your hand, you have the option to draw an 8th card for an additional $5. The entry fees collected for the hop are what determine the prize amounts available. As long as you turn in your hand before 7 pm on October 12, your share of the winnings could be:

1st Place: 10%
2nd Place: 9%
3rd Place: 8%
4th Place: 7%
5th-10th Places: 5%
4 Worst Hands: 4% each
Random Drawing for 10 Hands: 2% each

The Bonus: Section winners will be recognized from players that draw all 7 of their cards within a single section of checkpoints as labeled on the stop list. 

Your Shorty Pants Hop Experience

Beginning at 11 am, you can get the Fall Harbor Hop started by drawing your first card at our waterfront Cajun restaurant at the Lake of the Ozarks and grabbing some lunch before heading out for your next card. 

Of course, you might choose to swing by Shorty Pants a little later in the day too. We'll have the talented Steven Moore on stage to keep you entertained while you relax on the deck with a refreshing hurricane or ice-cold beer. (*UPDATE: Due to the weather forecast, Steven Moore will be performing at Dog Days instead.) 

We're a great spot to end your hop too because then you won't feel like you have to rush off. Instead, you can enjoy the rest of a gorgeous fall evening right here with us! 

Stock Up at Shorty Pants Marina

It's an excellent idea to begin your Fall Harbor Hop with us at the best gas dock at the Lake of the Ozarks. You can fill your boat or jet ski's tank plus pick up any boating essentials you might need for the day in the C-store. There you'll find ice, soft drinks, water, package liquor, snacks, sunglasses, koozies, hats, cool Shorty Pants sweatshirts, and a lot more.

If you'll be joining us for the Fall Harbor Hop from out of town, you're going to need a place to stay while you're here. Right now our 2 amazing Lake of the Ozarks vacation house rentals are available for Harbor Hop weekend but don't put off booking your stay or they may be gone!

The Glass House offers 1,500 square feet of living space and can easily house up to 8 guests. The Red House boasts 3,400 square feet of living space and can sleep up to 16. Both offer plenty of room to bring the whole family along or a large group of friends. Each house also has an amazing lake view with large decks to sit on and admire it from, plus all the comforts of home you'll need during your stay. 

As an added bonus, they are only a short walk away from Shorty Pants Lounge & Marina. Divide up the price of staying in one of these gorgeous houses between a few people and end up spending a lot less than a hotel stay for a lot more comfort and amenities!

It's AquaPalooza Time at the Lake of the Ozarks!

One of the best annual boating events at the Lake of the Ozarks takes place at our sister restaurant in Osage Beach, Dog Days Bar & Grill. The event we're talking about happens to be the largest single-day boating event in the area - AquaPalooza 2019! 

A quick stop at the gas dock and C-store at Shorty Pants Lounge & Marina will stock you up on everything you need for an all-day concert on the water. If you prefer a more laid-back musical experience with a smaller crowd, you'll find more of the best live music at the Lake of the Ozarks right here on our own Shorty Pants stage. Either way, we've got your weekend entertainment covered! 

AquaPalooza 2019 at Dog Days
AquaPalooza is a FREE lakeside concert featuring 4 incredible bands. Hundreds of boats will fill the cove and thousands of people, both in the water and on dry land, will be there to experience this amazing annual event.

A great big stage is set up facing the lake where the entire cove will be filled with boats in the docks and tied up together beyond that. The water directly in front of the stage will be full of concert-goers floating in the water to enjoy the show.

No matter where you decide to go this weekend, if you're heading out on the lake a trip to the best gas dock and marina at the Lake of the Ozarks should be your very first stop. Shorty Pants Marina is located at the 21 MM by water in Salt Hollow Cove (or just a short walk down the dock if you're dining at Shorty Pants Lounge!) 

Here you can gas up your watercraft at our full-service gas dock and stock up on all of your boating essentials. We pump 87 Octane, 93 Octane, and Diesel fuel. 

The C-store is stocked with ice, beer, package liquor, water, soft drinks, snacks, marine supplies, sunscreen, sunglasses, all kinds of cool Shorty Pants gear, and a LOT more. We house the cleanest restrooms on the lake and there are plenty of comfy seats out front if you want to sit and visit for a while.   

This weekend is definitely an exciting one to be in the lake area, but then again, it's pretty amazing around here every weekend! (Most of the weekdays as well!) The 4th of July at the Lake of the Ozarks falls on a Thursday this year, making it convenient for you to plan an extended holiday weekend! Shorty Pants Lounge & Marina in Osage Beach is an excellent place to begin that holiday and, as a matter of fact, a pretty great place to spend the bulk of it.

Stick Around After the Holiday
You may want to stick around after the long 4th of July holiday weekend because on Tuesday, July 9, we're hosting our Annual Crawfish Boil Anniversary Party. The celebration begins at 6:00 pm with a one-night-only, all-you-can-eat crawfish boil for just $20 per person! Enjoy all the crawfish, shrimp, andouille sausage, corn, and potatoes that your heart desires (or your stomach can hold. Whichever comes first!) 

The talented Travis Marvin will be taking our anniversary stage again this year. He's become a local favorite and easily wins over every crowd that he performs for. He puts on an entertaining, high-energy, charismatic, and powerful performance that shouldn't be missed.

The Best Gas Dock & Marina on the Lake of the Ozarks

Spring is here and even though we may still have some chilly days and nights ahead, it won't be long before every day is a perfect one to get out on the water! For those days, making a stop at our Lake of the Ozarks gas dock & marina is the best way to ensure you have everything needed for an awesome day enjoying the lake. 

Just down the dock from Shorty Pants Lounge on mile marker 21 is Shorty Pants Marina. You can park your watercraft, gas it up, and get all the supplies you need there plus it's a nice spot to take a break and hang out for a while. Here is what you'll find waiting when you make that stop. 

Gas & Boating Essentials
Our convenient gas dock offers 87 Octane, 93 Octane, and Diesel fuel for your boat or PWC. The gas dock attendants can fill you up before you head out and top you off at the end of the day.

Gas isn't the only boating necessity you will find at Shorty Pants Marina. For the boat, you'll find things like oil, fuel stabilizer, watersport flags, batteries, and more. For the boaters, we have personal care items you may have forgotten to pack such as deodorant, toothpaste, toothbrushes, chapstick, toilet paper, sunblock, and sunglasses, to name a few.  

Ice, Drinks, Snacks, & Swag
You'll need refreshments to keep you going all day long out on the water, and our C-store has that for you too. Get ice for your coolers as well as the tasty treats and beverages to fill it with. We've got package liquor, soft drinks, water, and all kinds of snacks.

Get Ready for Fall Harbor Hop 2018 at the Lake of the Ozarks!

Autumn isn't too late to get out on that gorgeous lake! If you need a little extra incentive to convince yourself to get back on the water before it gets too cold, then the 33rd Annual Fall Harbor Hop should do the trick! One of the best annual events at the Lake of the Ozarks is happening on Saturday, October 13, 2018, and Shorty Pants Lounge & Marina is getting your cards, delicious Cajun dishes, refreshing drinks, and great live music all ready for the big day.

You can make your stop at the best waterfront bar & restaurant at the Lake of the Ozarks anytime between 11 am-7 pm for cards, but we'll be open after that for dinner and drinks, so plan to stick around. If it's nice outside, we've got plenty of lakeside seating with a gorgeous view. If, on the other hand, it's a bit chilly that day you can hang out by our cozy outdoor fireplace or join us in the indoor dining area. 

As for entertainment, we've got you covered. The talented Steven Moore will be onstage from 3-7 pm, so time your stop at Shorty Pants accordingly so you don't miss the show!
