The best Cajun food at the Lake of the Ozarks is what we're known for, but Creole cuisine is only a portion of our extensive menu. (A large portion of it, but there are a lot of other delicious dishes too!)  

There's plenty of variety at Shorty Pants Lounge & Marina to please a variety of tastes. Here's a look at 10 of our most popular menu items to get you in the mood for a trip to our Lake of the Ozarks waterfront restaurant & bar. 

Crab Cake Pasta
Our crab cakes are irresistible as an appetizer already and being placed on top of a bed of pasta makes them even more so! We take two handmade shrimp and lump blue crab cakes and place them on a bed of fresh fettuccine with shrimp and top all of that with our delicious seafood cream sauce. 

Raspberry Chicken Salad
This salad is packed full of incredible flavors! It is filled with fresh spinach, apple slices, grapes, heirloom tomatoes, and grilled chicken and served with our house raspberry balsamic dressing. 

New Orleans Medley
When you simply cannot decide between the many different Cajun delicacies we have to offer, this plate gives you a taste of four of the best! It's a plateful of our signature entrees; creamy Crawfish Etouffee, rich Jambalaya, Red Beans & Rice, and a half-link of our Andouille Sausage. YUM! 

Black Jack Filet
For this mouthwatering delicacy, we serve up a dry, aged, blackened 7-oz. filet and top it with house-made Jack Daniel's steak sauce, bacon, sauteed mushrooms, and onions. 

Shrimp & Grits Tacos
Tacos are always a crowd-pleaser and with this special Cajun twist, we've made them even harder to resist! We place our famous jalapeno grits under shrimp, Andouille sausage, bacon, and jalapeno lime sauce. 

Plantation Wrap
A big, flavorful meal wrapped up in a tortilla! We pack a sun-dried tomato tortilla full of Andouille sausage, our Big Easy Shrimp, and red beans & rice to make a full-bodied wrap that will satisfy even the biggest hunger. 

Smothered Catfish
Catfish is a popular menu item all over the lake area and when we combine it with one of our other signature dishes, we're willing to bet it quickly becomes your favorite way to eat catfish! We fry a catfish filet to a golden brown and place it on a bed of rice. Next, it gets "smothered" in a heaping helping of our Crawfish Etouffee. Avoiding fried food? It's great blackened too. 

Baja Burger
This hearty burger is a favorite with diners who enjoy a bit of "heat" in every bite! It starts with an 8-oz burger patty made with a house blend of chuck, brisket, and short rib. Next, it's blackened and topped with pepper jack cheese and jalapenos! For anyone needing a little less "fire," we've also got 5 more mouthwatering burgers on the menu to choose from. 

Creole Quesadilla
We put more flavor inside this tortilla than you even knew was possible! It contains a bountiful blend of Andouille sausage, crawfish, shrimp, sauteed peppers, onions, and pepper jack cheese. 

Po Boys
You'll find four Po Boys on the menu that each sound so good, it may be a tough decision for you picking just one! You may choose either Fried Oysters, Blackened or Fried Catfish, or Fried Shrimp on French bread with lettuce, tomato, and Cajun mayo. We also offer a Po Boy with Smoked Andouille Sausage, our homemade remoulade sauce, lettuce, and tomato.

Appetizers So Amazing You'll Want To Try Them ALL!

Shorty Pants Lounge & Marina is famous for serving the best Cajun food at the Lake of the Ozarks but our extensive menu also contains lots of other equally delicious dishes. Today we're taking a closer look at one of our menu sections and it just seemed sensible to start with the "Starters!" There you'll find a lot of variety like Creole cuisine, seafood, wings, and more! 

Shorty Pants Starters

Creole Quesadilla

A bountiful blend of Andouille sausage, crawfish, and shrimp with pepper jack cheese plus sauteed peppers and onions. 

Smoked Wings
Our house-smoked wings are served in orders of 10 or 20 in your choice of the following:

• Original
• Extra Hot
• Garlic Parmesan
• Barbecue

Pork Nachos

Slow-smoked pulled pork, Turbodog cheese sauce, and red beans piled high on corn tortilla chips and topped with lettuce, tomatoes, green onions, and jalapenos. 

Blackened Chicken Nachos

Tortilla chips piled high and smothered in our Turbodog cheese sauce, then topped with spicy chicken, lettuce, tomatoes, green onions, and jalapenos and served with our salsa and sour cream.  

Chicken Tenders

Fresh chicken tenders are hand-breaded and fried to a golden brown. 

Big Easy Shrimp
Large Gulf shrimp sauteed in butter, white wine, garlic, lemon, rosemary, and Cajun seasoning.

Crab Artichoke Spinach Dip

A mouthwatering mixture of crab, spinach, artichoke, and blended cheese served warm with tortilla chips. 

Crab Cakes

Two handmade shrimp and lump blue crab meat cakes topped with shrimp in our seafood cream sauce.  

Blackened Shrimp

Large Gulf shrimp seasoned and blackened in one of our cast iron skillets and served with a lemon wedge. 

Sweet Coconut Shrimp

Large Gulf shrimp breaded in a sweet frosted flake and coconut breading and served with our house-made sweet raspberry sauce. 

Peel and Eat Shrimp

Large shrimp spice-boiled and served with our house Bloody Mary cocktail sauce. 

Cajun Fried Oysters

Lively seasoned, hand-breaded, southern-fried oysters served with our house Bloody Mary cocktail sauce. 

Calamari
Flash-fried corkscrew calamari tubes served with your choice of jalapeno lime or cocktail sauce. 

Seared Ahi Tuna

A 6-oz. sesame encrusted Sashimi style Ahi tuna served with sesame ginger dressing and a wasabi cream sauce.

With the state of the country as it is right now, we realize that many people prefer to stay at home as much as possible to avoid crowds. That doesn't mean you have to miss out on all of your favorite Shorty Pants Lounge favorites though! Thanksgiving - New Year's Day, Let Us Cater Your Holiday Events at the Lake of the Ozarks

It's that time of year when lots of holiday events, parties, and gatherings are being planned. Those people are going to need to be fed and ordering the best catering at the Lake of the Ozarks allows you to do that with little to no effort! 

Shorty Pants Lounge & Marina may be closed for the winter but through the culinary talents of the Barrett Restaurant Group, you can still enjoy all of your favorites from our restaurant plus a whole lot more.  

Wide Variety of Food Choices
Shorty Pants is a part of the Barrett Restaurant Group which is made up of ourselves, Dog Days Bar & Grill, and Wobbly Boots Roadhouse. That means when you hire us to cater your event, you not only have our amazing Cajun creations to choose from but also the fantastic dishes those other two local favorites are known for! 

Right now the Boot is offering juicy, mouthwatering, hickory-smoked turkeys for Thanksgiving. You can bring in your own for them to toss into the smoker for $1 per pound or get a fully-cooked turkey from them for just $50. 

But wait, there's more! If you have something in mind that these venues don't normally offer, our chefs are happy to work with you to create a custom menu. No matter what the meal - breakfast, lunch, dinner, or "snack-time" - just let us know what you have in mind and we'll do our best to make it happen. 

Your Place or Ours?
With enough advance notice, we have two catering vans that can be loaded up with food for your event and brought directly to you. On the other hand, if you are in need of a venue to host your gathering, we can help you out there too! 

Wobbly Boots Roadhouse is open year-round and has a private room (with a cozy fireplace) that can be reserved. Even during the "off-season" for both Shorty Pants and Dog Days, we can make arrangements to host parties at our place. We can even help you book some entertainment! 

As an added bonus, if you have guests coming from out of town they can stay in one of our waterfront vacation houses at the Lake of the Ozarks. Two of these are located next door to Shorty Pants Lounge & Marina. The Glass House sleeps up to 8 and the Red House can accommodate up to 16. The luxury vacation house rental next door to Dog Days Bar & Grill can host up to 18 guests.    

Any Event, Large or Small
The catering capabilities of all of these Lake of the Ozarks restaurants and bars can handle any size event. From small parties of just a few close friends all the way to groups of 500 or more, we've got you covered! Holiday parties, wedding receptions, business meetings, family reunions... the list goes on and on in the most delicious ways possible!

Our catering schedule works on a first-come, first-served basis. As soon as you have a date in mind, give us a call at 573-348-4244 or the Boot a call at 573-348-2277 to reserve a spot on our catering calendar. To guarantee that date, it needs to be booked in advance with our sales office and a final guest count is needed one week before the event.

It's Warm & Cozy at Shorty Pants Lounge. Perfect for a Fall Feast!

The weather is turning chillier by the day, but our waterfront bar & restaurant at the Lake of the Ozarks is warm and cozy, both inside and outside by the fireplace. If you're looking for a delicious meal and an incredible lake view this fall, head on over to Shorty Pants Lounge & Marina. 

Outdoor Fireplace
There are still plenty of days here and there when it's completely pleasant to dine outdoors on our lakeside deck. When that chill gets to be a bit too much, our covered patio with the outdoor fireplace allows you to get some fresh air but still stay toasty warm. There are a lot of sports going on this time of year and we've got a tv next to the fireplace so you can enjoy the outdoors and still catch the game. Space is limited though, so first come, first seated! 

Indoor Dining
There are also plenty of days, and especially evenings, when the temperature is going to chase you indoors. That's not a problem at our Cajun restaurant at the Lake of the Ozarks because our indoor dining area is spacious, comfortable, and just the right temperature. Of course, if you're still kind of cold, we've got quite a few spicy options on the menu to warm you from the inside out! 

Open for Lunch & Dinner
You can still get the best Cajun food at the Lake of the Ozarks 7 days a week beginning at 11:00 am. That said, the season will be coming to an end in the next few weeks, so don't wait too long to head on over for your favorite Shorty Pants Lounge foods and drinks. 

What do you think you'll miss most over those long winter months that Shorty Pants is closed for the season? Perhaps the ever-popular Crab Cakes Pasta that smells and looks so delicious, your mouth is watering before you even take a bite! Plantation Wrap

Great big Cajun flavor, all wrapped up into one neat hand-held package! We take a sun-dried tomato tortilla and fill it to the brim with Andouille sausage, Big Easy Shrimp, and red beans and rice to make this full-bodied wrap. 

Creole Quesadilla

Start your meal with this creative appetizer. We take a bountiful blend of Andouille sausage, crawfish, and shrimp, then add to it pepper jack cheese and sauteed peppers and onions inside a grilled tortilla. 

Beignets

Shorty Pants Lounge & Marina is well-known for serving the best Cajun food at the Lake of the Ozarks. Although we spend plenty of time perfecting our creole cuisine, there are quite a few other delicious dishes on the menu without that Cajun flair that are equally as irresistible. 

Here's a look at the wide variety of dishes offered at our waterfront restaurant & bar at the Lake of the Ozarks. There's a little something for everyone, no matter what your taste buds are craving. 

Authentic Cajun Cooking
First and foremost, we have to feature some of that Cajun cooking we're famous for. We use authentic rubs and spices direct from Louisiana and classic ingredients that just might make you think you are eating in the French Quarter and not central Missouri! Creole cuisine makes up the majority of our menu, but here are just a few dishes to give you an idea of what to expect.   

Shrimp 'n' Grits
Large shrimp sauteed with Andouille sausage, hickory-smoked bacon, onions, and mushrooms served over our homemade cheddar cheese and jalapeno grits. 

Po Boys
We have four delicious Po Boys for you to choose from. The first three are made with Cajun mayo, lettuce, and tomato plus your choice of Southern-fried or blackened catfish, deep-fried big gulf oysters, or hand-breaded gulf shrimp. The last one is filled with smoked Andouille sausage, lettuce, tomato, and our homemade remoulade sauce. 

New Orleans Medley

Amazing Appetizers

We have 2 incredible nacho plates that are both available as either a full or a half-order. 

• Pork Nachos - Slow-smoked pulled pork, Turbo Dog cheese sauce, red beans piled high on corn tortilla chips and topped with lettuce, tomatoes, green onions, and jalapenos.

Our salads are a lot more than just lettuce and dressing. Each one is topped with fresh ingredients that will tickle your taste buds. Here is a couple that we have on the menu. 

Ahi Tuna Salad
A 6-oz. sesame seed-encrusted Sashimi-grade tuna filet cooked ot your liking served over fresh spring mix with feta cheese and heirloom tomatoes served with our house remoulade dressing. You may order the tuna blackened too.

Fresh spinach, apple slices, grapes, and heirloom tomatoes topped with grilled chicken and served with our house raspberry balsamic dressing. 

Signature Sandwiches & Burgers

Steak 'n' Cheese
Strips of beef tenderloin grilled and smothered in white American cheese on a toasted French roll. You can add even more flavor with sauteed mushrooms, onions, or green peppers. 

Jack Daniels Glazed Chicken
A marinated and grilled Tennessee whiskey glazed chicken breast served on an asiago focaccia bun with lettuce, tomato, and onion. 

Baja Burger
Our blackened classic burger topped off with pepper jack cheese and jalapenos.
