There are quite a few reasons why our Cajun waterfront restaurant & bar at the Lake of the Ozarks should be your Independence Day headquarters. With amazing live music, fantastic food and drinks, a gorgeous lake view, and a terrific gas dock and C-store, you really don't need to go anyplace else!
The Best Live Music
The best live music at the Lake of the Ozarks can be found on the Shorty Pants' stage all summer long. Just in case you're lucky enough to get the entire week off for the 4th of July, our Tuesday music is included below as well. (Maybe that's just the excuse you need to take off work early!) Music begins at 6:00 pm on Tuesdays and 7:00 pm on the weekends.

The Best Menu
Most people head to Shorty Pants Lounge for the best Cajun food at the Lake of the Ozarks. Our recipes feature rubs and spices direct from Louisiana and our authentic Creole dishes will have you thinking you missed the lake area and ended up in New Orleans! We've got Gumbo, Jambalaya, Crawfish Etouffee, Po Boys, our World Famous Crab Cakes, and a whole lot more.
Our extensive menu goes far beyond that though. In addition to our culinary Creole creations, you'll find lots of other taste-tempting options as well. These include specialty burgers, Ahi tuna, savory salads, steaks, chicken sandwiches, wraps, and so much more.
Don't forget about the drinks too. From those frozen favorites you simply can't resist when you're at the Lake of the Ozarks to New Orleans-inspired cocktails like our Cajun Bloody Marys and a long list of Hurricanes, your thirst will be quenched in the most delicious way possible! The fully stocked bars also offer a wonderful wine selection and all kinds of ice-cold, refreshing beer varieties.
The Best Gas Dock & Marina
A very short walk down our dock takes you to the best gas dock & marina at the Lake of the Ozarks, complete with a C-store filled with everything you need for an exciting day out on the lake. Our full-service gas dock pumps 87 Octane, 93 Octane, and Diesel fuel. There are lounge chairs and picnic tables outside for you to take a break in while you're here, and inside, the C-store has a little bit of everything.
You'll find boating supplies, ice, soft drinks, package liquor, snacks, sunglasses, sunscreen, cool Shorty Pants gear, and a LOT more. Inside we also house the cleanest restrooms at the lake, making us an even more perfect pit stop while you're out and about cruising the water.
If you're looking for a place to park your boat or jet ski while you're in town, Shorty Pants Marina has 35 covered slips that can be rented, available in sizes 14x36 up to 20x56, plus some PWC slip rentals too. If you are interested, please call 573-302-1004 for more details and to check availability. Amenities for our marina guests include:
- showers
- washer/dryer
- free WiFi
- free electric
- free ice
- gas discounts
- gated parking
Stick Around After the Holiday
You may want to stick around after the long 4th of July holiday weekend because on Tuesday, July 9, we're hosting our Annual Crawfish Boil Anniversary Party. The celebration begins at 6:00 pm with a one-night-only, all-you-can-eat crawfish boil for just $20 per person! Enjoy all the crawfish, shrimp, andouille sausage, corn, and potatoes that your heart desires (or your stomach can hold. Whichever comes first!)
The talented Travis Marvin will be taking our anniversary stage again this year. He's become a local favorite and easily wins over every crowd that he performs for. He puts on an entertaining, high-energy, charismatic, and powerful performance that shouldn't be missed.
We're looking forward to seeing you over the 4th of July holiday at Shorty Pants Lounge & Marina and hopefully, many times after that for the rest of the season. We're open 7 days a week at 11:00 am spring-fall and we're looking forward to seeing a lot of you!
