Smoked Wings

Quite possibly the most important food to have on your table when the game is on. Our house smoked wings are served original, extra hot, garlic Parmesan, or barbecue.  

Blackened Chicken 'n' Cheese Nachos

Tortilla chips piled high and smothered in our Turbodog cheese sauce, then topped with spicy chicken, lettuce, tomatoes, green onions, jalapenos, fresh made salsa, and sour cream.  

Crab Cakes

Two handmade shrimp and lump blue crab meat cakes rolled in seasoned breadcrumbs and topped with shrimp in our seafood cream sauce. 

Crab Artichoke Spinach Dip

A mouthwatering mixture of crab, spinach, artichoke, and blended cheese, all served up with tri-color corn chips.  

Bacon Cheddar Burger

99.9% of football fans love bacon!  Our house-smoked bacon and cheddar cheese gets this Black Angus burger poppin'.

Black Jack Burger

For those that like it hot, we blacken spice our classic burger and top it off with Pepper Jack cheese and jalapenos.

3 Incredible Scenic Rides for the Lake of the Ozarks Bikefest

Shorty Pants Lounge is the perfect place to relax and enjoy a laid-back Lake experience. Our lake view restaurant at the Lake of the Ozarks is the best place to hang out when you are ready for a break this Bikefest weekend.  After you are rested and ready to hop back on your bike, the Lake of the Ozarks is one of the most scenic places in the country to ride.  Here are 3 of the most beautiful rides for you to experience while you're in town.

Around the Lake

This 95.7 mile ride will take you around the giant "Magic Dragon" known as the Lake of the Ozarks.  The community toll bridge was built so that we could get to all of these areas much faster, but on a gorgeous weekend made for riding, you're going to want to skip the shortcut!  This ride takes about 2 hours and 15 minutes, plus any stops you want to make along the way.

Ha Ha Tonka

83.7 miles make up this ride, taking just under 2 hours.  It connects two incredible state parks that are well worth the time to stop and explore.  Bennett Spring State Park and Ha Ha Tonka State Park are two very popular attractions on their own, but add in the thrill of the journey between them and it gets even better.

Devil's Elbow

Quite possibly one of the prettiest spots on old Route 66, this 115.6 mile ride is a favorite.  It was named for a particularly bad spot in the Big Piney River known as a "devil of an elbow."  You'll see a lot of history along this road.  The ride takes a little over 3 hours.

These unbelievable scenic rides are only a part of the enormous amount of fun planned for the 2015 Lake of the Ozarks Bikefest.  You will find vendor villages, concerts, contests, and more all over the Lake this weekend.  Our sister restaurant, Dog Days Bar & Grill, will have a tent set up at the Lake of the Ozarks Harley Davidson dealership in Osage Beach serving up delicious food, ice cold drinks, and featuring some incredible live music.

2015 Lake of the Ozarks Bikefest Passport Ride

Your favorite waterfront restaurant at the Lake of the Ozarks is very excited about the upcoming 9th annual Lake of the Ozarks Bikefest.  We are one of the 24 official passport stops this year.  Not only do you get to stop by and enjoy the best Cajun food at the Lake of the Ozarks, but you also get a chance to win a new Harley Davidson motorcycle!



Bikefest will take place September 17-20 and include numerous exciting events throughout the weekend.  You can take some of the most scenic rides in the nation, hear incredible music, shop the vendor villages, and see impressive motorcycles everywhere that you look.  One event that you definitely do not want to miss out on is the Passport Ride.  

The Passport Ride consists of 24 official stops.  You may pick up your passport at any of those locations for a suggested $20 entry donation.  After you get stamped at every stop, drop off your completed passport at the Lake of the Ozarks Harley Davidson Dealership's "Official Passport Booth" during these hours:

• Thursday, September 17th 12:00 noon – 6:00 pm 
• Friday, September 18th 8:00 am – 8:00 pm 
• Saturday, September 19th 8:00 am – 8:00 pm 
• Sunday, September 20th 8:00 am – 3:00 pm

A winner will be drawn at random around 4 pm on Sunday, September 20.  You do not need to be present to win.  And what exactly can you win?  Well, this extraordinary 2014 Harley Davidson FXSB Softail Breakout Motorcycle!  (Girl NOT included.)

The Best Labor Day Weekend Starts At Shorty Pants Lounge

Labor Day weekend is here.  Wow, it's seems like we just started Summer!  It must be true what they say, time sure flies when you're having fun.  This holiday weekend is no exception, because the best waterfront restaurant at the Lake of the Ozarks has big plans in store.  Labor Day weekend wouldn't be complete without the best live music, the best gas dock, the best food and drinks, and the best atmosphere, and we've got all of that right here at Shorty Pants Lounge.

We have earned the honorable title of the Best Gas Dock at the Lake of the Ozarks from the Lake Lifestyles Magazine's yearly customer poll 6 years in a row!  We are going to keep doing what we've been doing all of these years because apparently, you like it! We've got an incredible staff down at the gas dock that will get your tank filled up and get you back out on the water.  Don't be in a hurry, though.  There's plenty of comfy rockers to sit in and relax for a bit, an incredible variety of necessities and fun items to browse in the store, and of course, the bar and restaurant just a few steps away.

The best Cajun restaurant at the Lake of the Ozarks has a diverse menu, from appetizers to share all the way up to filling dinner entrees.  One particularly delectable section of our incredible menu is the Signature Entrees.  It is fulled with savory seafood and juicy steaks, all with our special Shorty Pants Lounge touch.  Here are a few of the enticing items that you can enjoy when you join us for lunch or dinner.    

Big Easy Shrimp
Made with the King of Beers, Budweiser, you can dine on large Gulf Shrimp, sauteed in a zesty lemon, rosemary, and butter sauce.

Filet Mignon
A 7-oz. center cut filet, seasoned perfectly, grilled to your liking, and topped with roasted garlic butter.  Try it blackened!

Fried Shrimp Dinner
7 jumbo shrimp, hand breaded and fried golden brown.  Served with our Bloody Mary cocktail sauce.  This can be blackened too.

Filet Oscar
Certified Angus tenderloin topped with lump crab meat and our famous seafood creme sauce. 

Lobster Tails
A pair of cold water South African tails served broiled or fried, each with drawn butter.

Surf and Turf
Our famous center cut filet teamed with a single broiled tail. 

Catfish Dinner
Two hand breaded catfish fillets, fried to a golden brown.  Also available blackened.

12-oz. Ribeye
Certified Angus beef, marbled to perfection, seasoned and grilled to temperature.

The Kids Are Gone - Time For The Grown-Ups To Play!

Most of the schools have started by now, or they very soon will be.  It's time for the adults to take over!  While the little ones are off to class, you can sneak away and have a little "you" time.  The college kids are busy during the week now, too.  If they party a little harder than you have the energy for anymore, now is your time to take over their favorite Lake hangouts.  The best Cajun waterfront restaurant at the Lake of the Ozarks has a few ideas on how you can enjoy your kid-free time.  Take a day off for yourself and try this out.  

1. Go back to bed!

The 2015 Shootout PWC Dam Poker Run Is This Saturday

Get your personal watercraft or jet boat into the water this Saturday, August 15 and join in on the fun of the 2015 Shootout PWC Dam Poker Run.  This event is not only a great opportunity for an exciting day out on the beautiful Lake of the Ozarks, but it's also a chance to raise some money for all of the wonderful charities that benefit through the Lake of the Ozarks Shootout.
