Shorty Pants Lounge & Marina is Back on March 5, 2021

So, did you miss us? Everyone here at Shorty Pants Lounge & Marina in Osage Beach is definitely missing all of you but the long winter wait is almost over! Opening Day 2021 for our waterfront bar & restaurant at the Lake of the Ozarks has been set for Friday, March 5. Make plans right now to join us next week for all of those tasty Cajun flavors you love so much. 

Of course, the best Cajun food at the Lake of the Ozarks is just a part of all of the wonderful things you'll find at Shorty Pants Lounge & Marins. It's been a while since last fall, so here's a quick reminder of what to expect when you join us once again this season.

Amazing Cajun Food & Drinks

The folks in the kitchen are anxious to start cooking up all of your Cajun favorites this season! You'll be able to join us for lunch and dinner 7 days a week beginning daily at 11:00 am. Get your taste buds ready for plates full of Crawfish-N-Shrimp Etouffee, Po Boy Sandwiches, our World Famous Crab Cakes, and a whole lot more! (Is your stomach rumbling yet just thinking about it?) 

Our bartenders will have their own tastes of New Orleans for you at the bar too. That Cajun Bloody Mar is an irresistible classic around here and the many varieties of Hurricanes we've created will keep your thirst quenched in the most marvelous of ways!  

Beyond the Cajun Cooking

Although we're widely known as the best Cajun restaurant at the Lake of the Ozarks, our talented chefs are not limited to just that. The menu also features savory steaks, fresh salads, delicious seafood, incredible sandwiches, wraps, and burgers, plus a fantastic kids' menu. 

As for drinks, you'll find all of your favorite frozen cocktails to enjoy while dining lakeside. We also carry a wonderful variety of ice-cold beers and an amazing wine list. No matter what you are thirsty for, our fully-stocked bar can take care of it! 

Incredible Live Music

The outdoor stage at Shorty Pants Lounge hosts the best live music at the Lake of the Ozarks. Discover a wonderful mix of soothing sounds to enjoy during dinner and on into a lovely lake evening along. The fantastic bands we host are very likely to have you on the dance floor all night long. The finishing touches are being put onto our 2021 music schedule but once it's complete, you can always find an updated list on our website. 

Full-Service Gas Dock & Marina

Just down the dock from the restaurant, you'll find the best gas dock & marina at the Lake of the Ozarks. In addition to being a great place to fuel your boat, Shorty Pants Marina also contains a fully-stocked convenience store with all the things you might need for a day out on the water. When you're ready for a pit stop during your day of boating, this is also where you'll find the cleanest restrooms on the lake. (A very important fact to know!) 

If you're in need of a place to park your boat or personal watercraft while you're in town, we have covered dock slips available from sizes 14x36 up to 20x56. Marina amenities include showers, washer/dryers, free WiFi and electric, free ice, and gated parking. If you're interested, please give us a call to find out what is available.   

Waterfront House Rentals

Located right next door to Shorty Pants Lounge & Marina are two of the best waterfront vacation rental houses at the Lake of the Ozarks. (BTW, these are both available to rent year-round, even when Shorty Pants Lounge & Marina is closed for the season!) 

The Glass House features 1,500 square feet of living space and can sleep up to 8 guests comfortably. The Red House offers 3,400 square feet to enjoy and can house up to 16 guests. Both rentals have an unbelievable lake view plus all the comforts of home for groups both large and small. They feature gorgeous decks, a full kitchen, BBQ grill, washer/dryer, and spacious rooms for everyone to enjoy.

Labor Day Weekend at the Lake of the Ozarks... and Beyond That This September!

If you're as excited about Labor Day Weekend at the Lake of the Ozarks as we are here at Shorty Pants Lounge & Marina, then you'll agree that it can't get here fast enough! (Sure, it's a couple of days away, but still, we can't wait!) 

Beyond the holiday weekend, there's another huge annual event coming up in September too, plus fall is a gorgeous time to explore the lake area. Here's a look at some of what's going on around our Lake of the Ozarks waterfront bar & grill this month. 

Labor Day Weekend 2020
Shorty Pants has everything you need for the holiday weekend to keep you well-fed, thoroughly entertained, and if you're traveling by boat, stocked up for a full day on the water! We've got some of the best live music at the Lake of the Ozarks lined up for you over Labor Day Weekend on both Friday and Saturday nights beginning at 7:00 pm.

As for the rest of the weekend, we open daily at 11:00 am to serve up the best Cajun food at the Lake of the Ozarks. One bite and you'll think you're in New Orleans rather than in mid-Missouri! From creamy Crawfish & Shrimp Etouffee to savory Jambalaya to great big Po Boy Sandwiches, we've got a delicious variety of Creole favorites on the menu. 

Of course, we've got plenty of non-Cajun dishes too, in case someone at your table is in the mood for something different. Lastly, to wash it all down, our fully stocked bars are ready to serve you an ice-cold beer, a wonderful variety of wines, and a long list of specialty cocktails that will tickle your taste buds including a creative selection of Hurricanes. 

You can easily access Shorty Pants Lounge by land in Osage Beach but if you happen to be traveling on the water over the weekend, then you'll want to make a pit stop at Shorty Pants Marina at the 12-mile marker while you're here. In addition to being the best gas dock at the Lake of the Ozarks, Shorty Pants Marina also features a fully-stocked convenience store. 

Here you can stock up on everything you'll need for a fun day out on the water. It also houses the cleanest restrooms on the lake and you can even pick up some cool Shorty Pants "swag" while you're there. September 16-20: Bikefest
Also coming up in September is the 14th Annual Bikefest Lake of the Ozarks. We're thrilled to be one of the passport stops again this year, so make sure you ride by and get your book stamped by us. In addition to the passport run, this event is filled with live music, awesome giveaways, and even the chance to win a brand new Harley-Davidson motorcycle!

Autumn "falls" on September 22, 2020, but even though summer will be over the 2020 season at Shorty Pants Lounge & Marina is far from over! As the leaves begin changing, the lake area takes on a completely different type of beauty that needs to be experienced.

A new month means a new lineup of the best live music at the Lake of the Ozarks being featured on the stage at Shorty Pants Lounge & Marina! The restaurant, bar, marina, gas dock, & C-store are all open 7 days a week. Three of those days - Tuesdays, Fridays, & Saturdays - your trip to our place also includes some of the best entertainers in the lake area. Here's who we have lined up for you this August 2020.

The music starts at 6:00 pm on Tuesdays and at 7:00 pm on Fridays and Saturdays. Just in case you're new to our Lake of the Ozarks waterfront bar & restaurant, here are some of the other things you can enjoy while you're entertained by these wonderful musicians. 

Delicious Food & Drinks
On the menu at Shorty Pants Lounge & Marina you'll discover the best Cajun food a the Lake of the Ozarks, along with quite a few non-Creole dishes that are equally as delicious. The Crab Cake Pasta is always a popular item around here and the New Orleans Medley offers a hearty sampling of 4 of our signature dishes; Crawfish Etouffee, Jambalaya, Red Beans & Rice, and a half link of Andouille sausage. YUM! 

To wash it all down with, you might want to give one of our many Hurricane cocktails a try. The bar is also stocked with lots of ice-cold beer, a wonderful variety of wine, and plenty of mixed drinks to keep your thirst quenched in the tastiest ways possible.

The Gas Dock & C-Store
If you happen to be traveling by boat or jet ski, just down our dock you'll find the best gas dock & marina at the Lake of the Ozarks located on MM 21 in Salt Hollow Cove. The pumps serve up 87 Octane, 93 Octane, and Diesel fuel. Indoors, we've got the cleanest restrooms on the water plus all the necessities (plus a few non-essential fun items) you need for an exciting day out on the lake. 

From sunglasses and sunscreen for you, supplies for your boat or jet ski, "fillings" for your cooler, and souvenirs to take home, you'll find just about everything you could possibly need. That includes a place to dock your boat while you're in town too. For more information on renting a slip and all the amenities that come with that, give us a call at 573-302-1004. 

With the arrival of August, that means summer will be winding down soon and fall will be here before we know it. Make plans to get on over to our Lake of the Ozarks waterfront Cajun restaurant a few more times this month. Last week's blog highlighted all the reasons why you need to spend a large chunk of your 4th of July Weekend at the Lake of the Ozarks right here at Shorty Pants Lounge & Marina. The Best Live Music at the Lake of the Ozarks - June 2020

Most people flock to Shorty Pants Lounge & Marina in Osage Beach for the fantastic Cajun cuisine and our refreshing adult beverages. Three nights a week while you're here enjoying those tasty foods and drinks, we also add the best live music at the Lake of the Ozarks to our offerings!

Dinner & A Show
The live music at our waterfront restaurant & bar at the Lake of the Ozarks begins at 6:00 pm during the week and at 7:00 pm on Friday and Saturday. That's perfect timing for you to come in and grab a seat for a delicious lakeside dinner. 

With live music this great, you'll want to settle in and stay for a while! Spread the meal out by starting with an appetizer or two, leisurely making your way through the main course, and then go ahead and get dessert. (Get up and dance to the music between courses and you won't even have to worry about the calories!) 

Your dining choices from our menu of the best Cajun food at the Lake of the Ozarks are many. For example, a few local favorites include Creole Quesadilla, Sweet Coconut Shrimp, Crab Cake Pasta, Crawfish 'N' Shrimp Etouffee, and to finish it all off, a plate of Beignets. 

Of course, you don't really have to make the meal last your entire stay. The bar will be open all night long so you can sip on a few cocktails while you enjoy the show. No need to rush off. Make an entire evening out of it! 

You'll find an incredible selection of ice-cold beers, a wonderful variety of wines, and a long list of mixed drinks including our signature Hurricanes, Cajun Bloody Marys, freshly muddled Mojitos, magnificent Margaritas, and those famous Pain in the A** frozen cocktails.

Gourmet Dinner Tickets
One of our sister restaurants, Wobbly Boots Roadhouse in Osage Beach, is once again hosting their monthly gourmet Fireside Chat Dinner Pairings! The extremely talented Chef Kevin McCowan creates 5 fantastic courses of food to pair perfectly with top-shelf liquors. Some dinners will feature whiskey pairings as they've done in the past and this year they've added some wine pairing dinners as well. Tickets can be purchased at the Boot for each dinner. 

Concert Tickets
Our other sister restaurant, Dog Days Bar & Grill, is currently closed for the season too but they will be opening up for two special winter concerts of the best live music at the Lake of the Ozarks! First, on Saturday, December 21, 2019, The Mixtapes will be gracing the stage along with special guests, 2 Screws Loose. Tickets can be purchased in advance at Wobbly Boots Roadhouse in Osage Beach for $10 each or they will be available at the door for $15 each. 

A second winter concert is scheduled to happen the night before the Lake of the Ozarks Mardi Gras Pub Crawl. This time the Dog will open up on Friday, February 7, 2020, with the always-exciting Machine Gun Symphony. After a night of partying with those guys, you'll need to sleep in late before heading out to the pub crawl!  

Vacation Plans
Plan a group getaway or family vacation for everyone and have the entire gang stay in one of our waterfront vacation house rentals at the Lake of the Ozarks! The houses are both available year-round so you can enjoy the holiday happenings at the lake area together now or book a special date for sometime next year.  

The Glass House sleeps up to 8 and The Red House easily houses up to 16. You'll enjoy fantastic lake views, all the comforts of home, and be centrally located so everything is just a short car ride or boat cruise away. If you book a stay while Shorty Pants Lounge & Marina is open for the season, we're just a short walk away, right next door!    

A Party in Their Honor
Mark everyone off of your list at once by throwing a holiday party in place of giving wrapped gifts. You make the guest list, pick a date, and then let the best catering at the Lake of the Ozarks take care of the rest! Through the power of the Barrett Restaurant Group (Shorty Pants Lounge, Dog Days Bar & Grill, and Wobbly Boots Roadhouse) we can prepare all of your favorite foods, load them up in our catering vans, and deliver them to the party. 

We can also help you host that party if you'd like to hold it in one of the private event rooms at any of our 3 restaurants. Dog Days even has a stage and dance floor available and we can help you book the entertainment for it!
