Incredible Cajun Cuisine Featured In Our Bourbon Street Eats

We offer a variety of tastes at Shorty Pants Lounge, but the highlight of our extensive menu is the best Cajun food at the Lake of the Ozarks. With delicious dishes inspired by classic Louisiana recipes, you'll think you've bypassed mid-Missouri altogether and ended up in New Orleans!

Cajun Inspired Cooking
The French-speaking Acadian people that made their homes in New Orleans years ago came up with some amazing dishes that have stood the test of time and are now considered classics. They took ingredients that were easy to find in the area and created unbelievable flavors that make a mouth water.

Some of the staple items used in Cajun cooking include: rice, sausages, seafood, and vegetables. All of those are present in the dishes you may order at our waterfront Lake of the Ozarks restaurant, paired with rubs and spices direct from Louisiana, just like you'd find in the French Quarter. You will find selections with a Creole influence throughout our menu, but our Bourbon Street Eats section is completely filled with it.

BOURBON STREET EATS
Each one of these magnificent Cajun dishes is served with a garden salad or mini Caesar salad and your choice of French bread or cornbread.

SHRIMP N GRITS
Large shrimp sauteed with Andouille sausage, hickory-smoked bacon, onions, and mushrooms, served over our homemade cheddar cheese & jalapeno grits.

CAJUN ALFREDO
A mildly spiced Alfredo tossed with fresh fettuccine noodles. You may order it with chicken, shrimp, or a combination of both.

CRAB CAKE PASTA
Two delicious handmade shrimp and lump Blue crab cakes are placed on a bed of fresh fettuccine with our delicious seafood cream sauce.

VOODOO CHICKEN
A spicy Marinara blackened chicken breast is placed over a bed of sauteed onions, peppers, and rice.

JAMBALAYA
A Louisiana rice-based dish, steeped in rich and subtle spices along with Andouille sausage, smoked chicken, and shrimp. For a little extra, try it dirty!

SMOTHERED CATFISH
A fried or blackened catfish filet served on a bed of rice, smothered in our Crawfish Etouffee.

CHICKEN NEW ORLEANS
A Blackened chicken breast sauteed with a trio of bell peppers, paired with a kickin' Cajun cream sauce and served over rice.

RED BEANS N RICE
This classic dish is seasoned to perfection and served with a link of Andouille sausage.

CRAWFISH-N-SHRIMP ETOUFFEE
Crawfish & shrimp smothered in a rich creamy etouffee sauce with creole vegetables, served with rice.

EAST STREET TRIO
You will love this sweet and spicy blush cream sauce with Andouille sausage, shrimp, and tender chicken, served over fettuccine.

NEW ORLEANS MEDLEY
A plateful of our signature entrees: creamy Crawfish Etouffee, rich Jambalaya, Red Beans & Rice, and a half link of our Andouille sausage.

Comfortable Dining, Inside & Out
The lakefront deck is still open this time of year so that you can enjoy your Cajun creations outside on the nicest of fall days. When the weather gets a little chilly, we've got an outdoor area complete with a cozy fireplace to fight that chill. There's even a TV next to the fireplace in case there's a good game on you don't want to miss.

On those days when it's just too cold or rainy to truly enjoy your meal outdoors, our indoor dining room has a fully stocked bar and plenty of seating to accommodate groups of every size. While you're in there, pick up an awesome Shorty Pants Lounge & Marina sweatshirt for the walk back to your car or boat!

Our season's not over yet, so make sure to head on over to the best waterfront bar & restaurant at the Lake of the Ozarks and order up some of our tasty Cajun food while you still can. You're definitely going to want to get your fill over the next couple of months so that you can make it through the winter until next season!
