Father's Day falls on Sunday, June 18 this weekend. Many of you probably haven't decided on what to do for Dad yet, but don't worry, Shorty Pants Lounge & Marina has the perfect plan! Bring him to the best waterfront restaurant at the Lake of the Ozarks for a day he'll remember fondly for years to come. Here are five reasons we know your dad will think this is a spectacular idea.
#1 - Dads LOVE Cajun Food!
How could they not? With the magnificent blends of authentic rubs and spices direct from Louisiana that we use to create our dishes, you'll find the best Cajun food at the Lake of the Ozarks on our plates! Crab Cake Pasta, Jambalaya, Crawfish-N-Shrimp Etouffee, and our amazing Shrimp-N-Grits are all popular choices.
If you father, or someone else in the group, happens to be one of those rare people that doesn't love a bit of Creole flavor, we've got a menu full of delicious dishes for them too. Our Jack Daniels Glazed Chicken, Filet Mignon, Catfish Dinner, Asian Shrimp Salad, and the wide variety of Prime Rib Burgers will tickle their taste buds. If there are young children in your group, they'll find lots of tasty choices on our kids' menu to make them happy too.
#2 - Food tastes better eaten lakeside.
You can eat indoors any old time, and in the warmer months, you can enjoy lunch or dinner outside just about anyplace too, but dining by the water with the gorgeous Lake of the Ozarks as your view makes the experience extra special! We've got plenty of seating on our lakeside deck for groups of all sizes, as well as an outdoor tiki bar. If it's a little too hot outside for you, we've also got lots of space to sit indoors with another bar and that gorgeous lake view right outside the window.
#3 - We're conveniently located by land or by water.
It's easy to reach us by land in Osage Beach at 1680 Autumn Lane. From Hwy 54, turn onto KK, go right on 3 Seasons Road, follow the signs, and you're here!
For those spending the afternoon on the lake for Father's Day, you can find us at the 21 MM. Shorty Pants Marina is located at the end of our docks, where you can fuel up, sit and relax for a spell, and stock up on everything you need for a day on the water. When you're done dining at the restaurant, you'll be ready for more time playing on the lake. You can even pick up some incredible Shorty Pants gear (t-shirts, hats, drink koozies...) before you leave as a souvenir of this great Father's Day.
#4 - We've got the games.
If Dad's a sports fan and is worried about missing the games, let him know we'll have them playing right here for him! The Cardinals and Royals both have games that afternoon, and the US Open will be in full swing. You'll find plenty of TVs inside, as well as cozy seating around the outdoor TV over the fireplace, plus more screens to keep an eye on in the tiki bar. Let us know dad will be watching the game while you're here and we'll find you the perfect spot to hang out and cheer along with us.

Fun for the Entire Family
Our family friendly restaurant at the Lake of the Ozarks is easily accessible by both land and water. We've also got plenty of seating indoors and outdoors, so no matter what the weather, hot, cold, rainy, or sunny, you and your dad will be comfortable.
If you will be visiting us from out of town, Shorty Pants Lounge now has two incredible houses for rent. The Red House and the Glass House are both located next to door to us, close to town and right on the water. Much cozier than a hotel room, you will feel at home in one of our vacation rentals.
Shorty Pants Marina offers covered boat slips, a full-service gas dock, and the best C-store on the water, full of everything that you will need for a day on the lake. It's a great place to stock up before spending an afternoon exploring the beautiful Lake of the Ozarks.
In addition to the always amazing Cajun dishes and other menu items that we serve here on a daily basis, you will also get to enjoy two incredible bands over the weekend. Spontaneous Serendipity will be here on Friday night, and the Ozark Mountain Oysters will take over on Saturday night. Both of these talented groups are local favorites, and they put on a show that every age can enjoy.
For Dad's with Younger Kids
If your family has younger children celebrating Dad this weekend, we've got food that even the pickiest of eaters will enjoy. This is great news for both Dad and Mom, because that means the kids will be happy and satisfied with everything on their plates, while they get to enjoy the best Cajun food at the Lake of the Ozarks. Here's a peek at our menu for the little ones.
Shorty Burger
Like Dad's, but a bit smaller. This quarter-pound burger comes with or without cheese.
Shorty Pasta
Delicious noodles served with either red sauce or Alfredo.
Chicken Tenders
These fresh chicken tenders are hand breaded and fried to a golden brown.
Shorty Mini Corn Dogs
Just like it sounds: a plate of corn dogs, miniaturized.
Grilled Cheese
We use both white and yellow cheeses and melt them together on white bread. Warm, cheesy, and delicious.
For Dad's with Older Children
For the father's that have been at it for 21 years or longer, we've got the coldest, most refreshing cocktails in town to share with your adult children. Cajun Bloody Marys, hand-mixed Mojitos, and all of your favorite frozen drinks.
New this year, we have Happy Hour every Sunday with drink specials on Mimosas, Screwdrivers, Margaritas, and of course, those famous Bloody Marys. That's perfect timing, since Father's Day just happens to fall on a Sunday!
Also new this year, we have some tasty fruit, cheese, and sausage plates that go wonderfully with the fantastic wines we keep in our bar. You will find some amazing wine pairings to go with our Shorty Pants Lounge menu.
