Amazin' Cajun
The best Cajun food at the Lake of the Ozarks comes out of our kitchen, no doubt about it! We are able to offer authentic Creole cuisine because we use rubs and spices that come directly from Louisiana. If you close your eyes after taking a bite, you just might think you're actually in the French Quarter instead of mid-Missouri!
A large portion of our menu features classic Cajun dishes that have become favorites of the many people that dine with us every year. Some of the most popular dishes include our Crab Cake Pasta, Smothered Catfish, Creole Quesadillas, great big Po Boy Sandwiches, and our New Orleans Medley featuring creamy Crawfish Etouffee, rich Jambalaya, Red Beans & Rice, and a half-link of our Andouille Sausage all on one plate.

Even though we love creating Creole cuisine that makes your mouth water, our diverse menu has quite a few non-Cajun dishes too, so that everyone in your group can find something to satisfy their appetites. You'll find savory steaks as well as many signature sandwiches like the Asiago Chicken Sandwich or our Prime Rib Burgers. We've even got an impressive kids menu for the young'uns. When you come in before we close for the season, you're sure to find something to please everyone for lunch or dinner.
Creative Cocktails
The food is incredible all on its own, but when you pair it with one of our delicious drinks from the bar, your experience is taken to a whole new level! Some of the legendary cocktails that our bar is known for are our muddled Mojitos, Cajun Bloody Marys, and of course, the lake area classics, Rum Runners, Pina Coladas, and Pains. It's not too cold for one more frozen drink this year!
Our bar also carries an impressive wine list and the coldest beer in town. The bartenders will be happy to pour you a drink so you can raise a glass to an incredible 2017 season with us.
Cozy Fireplace with a View
The lake view from Shorty Pants Lounge is incredible, but if it's a bit too cold to sit outside this week, it's not a problem! Our outdoor fireplace offers a cozy spot to sit, relax, sip a cocktail, and still enjoy that incredible lake view. There's even a TV out there, in case you want to catch a game.
Our indoor dining area is pretty impressive too. You can admire the lake through the windows while sitting amidst some classic New Orleans decor. We've got plenty of seating to handle groups of every size, plus a great indoor bar to belly up to.
Stay With Us Over the Winter
Just because the restaurant is closing for the season, that doesn't mean you have to miss out on our friendly Shorty Pants Lounge hospitality. Our amazing Lake of the Ozarks vacation rental houses are available year-round. The lake area's a lot less crowded in the winter, but there are still plenty of fun things to do and see. There is some great holiday shopping going on in the area too, so get a group of friends together, stay in the Red House or the Glass House, and take care of those shopping lists while enjoying the luxury of a comfortable and inviting home away from home.
As sad as we are to say goodbye for now, you can rest assured that Shorty Pants Lounge & Marina will be back again next spring with another exciting menu full of Cajun goodness.
